If you are ever visiting Boston and want a tour of the city, the Boston Duck Tours are an eco-friendly way to see the sights. The modified Ducks have been converted to run on biodiesel, as well as hold more people than the original Ducks. The tours hit most of the major historical sights, and give you a river perspective. The drivers are fun and enthusiastic, and really seem to know their Boston history. This is an especially fun way to tour the city if you have kids. While on the water the kids have a chance to drive the Duck. Although the website doesn’t mention biodiesel, our “conducktor” did inform us of that information. Maybe in the future they will use the biodiesel to promote the company, I know I would. The Boston Herald did a story about the Ducks being converted to biodiesel. I think they’ve added more since the article was written. It is a great way to see the sites, have fun, be silly and be green.
