What should a young person starting out or someone on a limited budget do to furnish their home? Good furniture is expensive. At the same time disposable furniture is well…, disposable. Disposable furniture is made with off-gassing components, has a short lifespan and ultimately winds up in the landfills. What if there was another option that was inexpensive, made of recycled material, was easy to put together and lightweight but strong and at the end of it’s life could easily be recycled..again. There is something out there that fits the bill. It’s cardboard furniture. The designs are simple, but some of them are quite beautiful. They offer chairs, desks, tables, room dividers, toys and vases. I saw this company while watching Sundance Channel’s “Big Ideas for a Small Planet”. I hope you will consider this company if you are in the market for some inexpensive furniture. The carbon footprint of the typical cheap furniture is too large and this is a much better solution.
