I’ve been trying to be more eco-friendly when it comes to books. Instead of buying new I’ve been buying used either online or from a local secondhand bookstore. Now there may be another way to save trees and do all the reading you want. Amazon has their 2nd generation Kindle, an electronic reader. I agree wholeheartedly that saving trees is a good idea, but I do have concerns about what is in this device. I have sent an email to Amazon and asked about flame retardants, heavy metals, mercury, where it’s made and their quality control. I’m hoping Amazon can send me a MSDS sheet. I’ll keep you posted.
