Here is another reasons to save our world’s dwindling rainforests, it seems like every few months we hear about new species being discovered, usually in Papua New Guinea. Who knows what species and possible life saving drugs are being cut down and burned out of existence every day around the world, probably not in the U.S. since we only have 4% of our original forests left (how sad). The world just got the news on Wednesday that 56 new species were discovered in Papua New Guinea, a small, but ever so diverse country. Aside from rainforests being part of the lungs of the world they also carry some of our greatest biodiversity. So, let’s help these countries preserve their incredibly valuable rainforest by not buying wood or other products that diminish the rainforests.
