I bet if you look into one of your kitchen drawers you’ll find a roll or two of aluminum foil. It’s addictive stuff. You can throw it in a pan to keep clean up easier and it’s great for summer grilling. I bet you didn’t know that aluminum is one of the most energy sucking resources we have. The great thing about aluminum is that it is 100% recyclable and it never degrades. Unlike plastic which eventually has to be tossed because the quality goes down through each incarnation. So what is the lesson here? Recycle everything aluminum that you can. I’ve read that Americans throw away enough aluminum every three months to re-build our entire airline fleet. Also, if you have that foil addiction please look for recycled aluminum foil. It’s out there and I’ve personally seen it at Just Local Foods.
