I ran across a great water saving product called AQUS. According to the literature on their website it can save a two person family 10 to 12 gallons a day. It works by reusing the greywater from your sink. The greywater is stored in a reservoir under you sink (it holds 5 1/2 gallons) and then pumped as needed into the toilet tank. If too much water goes into the reservoir the overflow will simply go down the drain. Conversely if there isn’t enough water in the reservoir the toilet will pull water from it’s water line. The AQUS also filters and disinfects the water and needs only annual maintenance. Here is the website http://www.watersavertech.com/ I’m hoping to try this in our house. I have to make sure it’s compatible with our toilet. It doesn’t work with all toilets at this time. Please check it out if you’re interested in saving water and money.
