When it comes to purchases, especially for household things, buy quality. We need to stop buying disposable stuff. We buy so many poor quality items, everything from hammers to chairs. We’d be better off saving up and purchasing things that won’t fall apart in a year or two. Investing in quality tools will save valuable raw resources, money and packaging. Purchasing either vintage well made furniture, antiques or real quality pieces will save money in the long run as well as reducing VOC’s in our homes. We also need to think about repairing when possible or reupholstering well made pieces. In the long run you get what you pay for and sometimes “instant gratification” needs to wait.
