Did you know you could green your morning cup of joe. There are a number of things to look for besides just organic. Keep an eye out for fair trade and shade grown as well. Fair trade means they are paying workers a decent living wage which helps not only the workers, but their communities as well. Shade grown means they are not clear cutting to grow the coffee. Not clear cutting means a healthier ecosystem. Do these things mean your coffee will cost more? Yes, but the trade off is well worth the few pennies more per pot of coffee. So, drink that green coffee.
