If you’re a big reader check out Eco Libris. Eco Libris is an organization that is trying to green up the book industry. Currently over 20 million trees are cut down each year for books. Right now most books are printed on virgin paper. You can offset the destruction by purchasing trees to be planted. Eco Libris is also working to encourage publishers and authors to purchase trees to be planted and use recycled content paper. They recently convinced Scholastic to increase their recycled content to 25% and have that content be 75% post-consumer as well as using paper that is 30% FSC certified paper. Please check out the Eco Libris’ website at and consider planting some trees.
